Newsworks.org Video: Spirit of 76 Lights Up the Queen in Wilmington
This past weekend I joined my colleagues for our fourth year of “Shine a Light on the Queen” at the World Cafe Live in Wilmington, DE. Since the Queen opened in 2011 it has been one of my favorite places to play here at home, and we are so lucky that Hal Real brought his World Cafe concert to Market Street. Every year we local musicians, organized by the dedicated Rob Grant, Dan McGowan, and their brave compatriots, play to a sold out crowd at the Queen for the Light Up the Queen Foundation. In four years we’ve raised more than $255,000 for the Queen’s arts and music programs. That’s quite some outreach!
